Giorgia Maddamma

Graduated at the National Academy of Dance in Rome and at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen directed by Pina Bausch where she studied with great masters such as Jean Cébron, Malou Airaudo, Susanne Linke, Lutz Forster, Libby Nye, Dominique Merci, Alfredo Corvino and many others.
For over twenty years she danced in German and Italian dance companies:
Rodolpho Leoni Dance, Mark Siezkarek Dance Company, Stadtheater Hagen, Stadtheater Munster Daniel Goldin, Compagnia Danzare la Vita Elsa Piperno, Scenamobile Joseph Fontano, Balletto di Puglia Toni Candeloro, Echoes of american dancetheater Libby Nye (Repertoire Humphrey, Limon, Sokolow and Hoving);
as a freelance dancer she worked for Malou Airaudo, Alice Condodina, Ernestine Stodelle, Jim May, Micha van Hoeck, Stephan Brinkmann, Fernando Suels Mendoza and many others.
In 1991 she graduated as Ballet teacher at the National Academy of Dance Rome;
in 2005 she obtained the master’s degree in contemporary dance pedagogy at the Folkwang Universitet der Kunste in Essen where she taught and choreographed for over five years.
Assistant for the reconstruction of Limon Repertoire for prof. Libby Nye and prof. Alice Condodina, (Limon Dance Company), at the Folkwang Universitet der Kunste Essen and Hagen Dancetheater, Germany.
She taught at many international universities such as Conservatorio Superior de Danca Madrid, KSOT (National Academy of Dance of Athens), Konige Ballettschule Antwerp, Royal Danish Ballet School Copenhagen, University of Bologna, Conservatory of Music of Riga Latvia; ESMED Ecole Superièure de Music et Danse of Lille -Haut de France.

Folkwang Tanzstudio Essen, Stadtheater Hagen, Stadtheater Kassel, Stadtheater Munster, Accademia Perduta Forlì, Cantieri Teatrali Koreja, AMA Accademia Mediterranea dell’attore, Compagnia Corte Sconta, ARB Dance Company, National Theatre of Tirana; since 2012 for Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch.
In 2005 she founded and directs Koreoproject, dance company with which she creates dance productions collaborating with many artists and institutions.
Since 2013 she directs and organizes the dance campus and festival Uni-Tanz lecce hosting artists, teachers and directors of dance institutions; since 2017 she operates in the field of social inclusion in the prison of Lecce, directs laboratories and live performances with the prisonners; Koreoproject is part of the network of Italian National Coordination Theatre in Prison since 2020.
